Custard Recipe Empty Custard Recipe

Post by Flamingo Thu Nov 14, 2013 6:39 am

Hi all,

I'm brand new to the Bellini, only got it out of layby two days ago.

The only thing I have attempted to make so far is the custard recipe that is in the Bellini recipe booklet and it was a total flop.

It would not thicken up, so I tried cooking it for a little bit longer, then a little bit more etc etc then I tried adding more cornflour with no success.  I did use full cream milk and the recipe says to use skim milk, but I wouldn't have thought this would have made any difference?

Any thoughts?

How much corn flour did you use? I think I use 30g of cornflour.
I use full cream and mine always works.

My son has just fallen asleep on me but I will get you my recipe in 10 mins. Will give him a min before i mine him. :-)

I tried the milo custard for the first time this week and it also came out runny. I just cooked it for 10 minutes longer and added the butterfly and it worked out in the end Smile
